About Me
I was born in 1967 in Canada and brought up in Southeast Asia, returning to England at the age of 16. I lived and worked in Surrey and London before working on a cruise ship in the Carribean for some years. In 1997 I settled in the beautiful Cornish countryside where I am inspired by the rugged beauty of my surroundings. I have been working with stained glass since 1992 as a hobby and as a job, but always with passion. I am currently working from a studio within my shop in Bude, Cornwall, producing unique pieces of high quality glass jewellery.

Fused Glass Jewellery
Much of my jewellery is made using dichroic glass. Dichroic (pronounced die-crow-ick), is a Greek word meaning 'two coloured', one colour seen in reflected light, the other in transmitted light and the coating on the glass selectively reflects away certain wavelengths (colours) of light and allows the remaining wavelengths to transmit through. This is the same way nature creates the colours seen in bird feathers, fish scales, opals, or dragonfly wings.
Each piece of jewellery is made up of layers of coloured and dichroic glass which are then fused together in a kiln. Other colours may be added and some pieces may require firing several times until the desired effect is achieved. Because of their hand-crafted nature, no two pieces may ever be exactly the same.
